summary
Set after the events of the 4-episode Arise Series, the film involves the assassination of the Prime Minister of Japan which is publicly described as the 'greatest event since the 4th world war'. It is up to Public Security Section 9, led by cyberwarfare expert Major Motoko Kusanagi, to discover the true nature of the cryptic murder. Set in a gorgeous backdrop of eye-popping futurist artwork, this masterpiece will challenge your perception of what it means to be human in an age of mechanized body augmentation.

An incredible addition to the Ghost in the Shell universe. The style they went with for the younger Motoko was spot on, and the music is incredible. Great story I'd really suggest multiple watches to soak in every detail. This is the pinnacle of the Arise series and really closes out the prequel nicely to lead you into Stand Alone Complex with a much deeper understanding of the dynamic world the characters inhabit. Its by far among my favorite anime of all time and for anyone into cyberpunk its the pinnacle of the genre of late.

Is cool the first few episodes, but then it just honestly felt like it repeats. Its cool but you just get tired of the same formula happening and tune it out eventually. Give it a few but be warned its decently long.
